The incident reportedly happened in Nagpur city which is in India’s Maharashtra state where the lorry driver, identified as Vicky Aaglaw whose age was not given, was reportedly paid 354 GBP (30,000 INR) to transport a consignment of goods to Trievndrum, the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala.
But instead of making the 30-hour journey some 1,130 miles (1,820 kilometres) away, he is accused of disappearing with the money.
However his furious employers, identified as Akhil Pohankar and Amit Thakre, who are both residents of Nagpur, managed to track him down when they realised the delivery had not been picked up.
He was then forcibly taken back to their offices together with another man, and video footage shows him being lifted up into the air with a rope around his ankles while wearing just his underpants.

One of the two men is then seen beating him with a belt before he is again lowered back to the ground. He was also reportedly hit with sticks.
A police spokesman told local media: “The duo somehow traced the driver, brought him to their office on Sunday morning and thrashed him.”
Footage of the incident was shared online where it attracted the interest of the police, who contacted the victim of the meeting and persuaded him to file a criminal complaint.
They have since arrested the suspects Pohankar and Thakre and charged them with violations of the Indian Pence Code (IPC). The third man who was not named is on the run and is being sought by police.
