This footage shows a van engulfed in flames next to a plane after its engine overheated at Hong Kong’s international airport.

The scene was recorded at Hong Kong International Airport when the vehicle designed to carry light goods burst into flames beside a Hong Kong Airlines plane.
In the video, the van can be seen burning and completely covered by the flames as it sits next to the plane and under a jet bridge.
Local media report the vehicle belonged to Pan Asia Pacific Aviation Services Limited (PAPA), who are used by the airport for cleaning services and ground handling at the airport, as well as line maintenance.
A spokesperson for the local police said that firefighters had been called and they managed to extinguish the fire in just over 20 minutes.
The official said that nobody had been injured during the incident and the fire is thought to have started when the van’s engine overheated.
There was nobody on board the Hong Kong Airlines plane parked near the burning van and there has been no mention of the plane being at risk of catching fire. No damage was done to the plane
An investigation into the fire is ongoing and the airport have confirmed that their day-to-day operations had not been affected by the incident and no delays were caused.
