The fight was filmed at Palghar town which is located in India’s Maharashtra state where the owners of the dog, a family of farmers, tried unsuccessfully to get it to stay away from the cobra.
But the dog was determined to take on the snake, and in the end they left it with the battle to the death filmed and later shared online.
The dog is seen running rings around the cobra, which constantly turns its head repeatedly in a bid to follow the barking animal’s movements.
The dog repeatedly leaps in and then dance backwards before it can be bitten, with a dog eventually grabbing the snake just behind its head and killing it.

Lucky’s owners said he certainly lived up to his name as fights between dogs and snakes are not uncommon, and usually end up with the death of both as it only needs one bite from the snake to kill the dog, but the snake bite does not act quickly enough to kill the dog before it can take revenge for the bite.
Local police confirmed the snake had been killed and that the incident happened recently when they were questioned after it was widely shared online.
