Train Stops Over Elderly Man Who Did Not Hear It Coming

This is the moment a freight train comes screeching to a halt over an elderly man lying on the track as he lay down after hearing the locomotive hurting towards him at the last second.

The incident came after the elderly man, who has not been named, was crossing the tracks and noticed the oncoming train late because he is hard of hearing, according to reports.

An onlooker recorded the man lying on the tracks as the train came to halt in the city of Bagalkot in the state of Karnataka in south-western India.

In the video, the man can be seen lying still on the train tracks as the freight train passes over him.

The train begins screeching to a halt as onlookers can be heard shouting. The elderly man then crawls from under the train when the locomotive stops and reports state he was not injured in the incident.

Reports suggest he had been walking across the tracks with a group of friends when he saw the train approaching and decided to lie on the tracks to let it pass over him.
