The footage was shot at the city of Thane which is the 16th most populated city in India with a population of almost 2 million.
The train had reportedly been running late, meaning a large number of women were also on the platform waiting for it to arrive when the passengers on the incoming train tried to leave.
Some people are wedged in so tight that fellow passengers have to try and pull out of the mass, and many are screaming as they try to either get on or off the train and escape the masses.
Eyewitness Khyati Sharma, 30, was one of the commuters that witnessed what happened in the late morning yesterday (Monday) said that women passengers are trying to get on the train as it pulled into platform for without allowing the others to first get off.
